Meet Dickie Walker
My name is Dickie Walker, also known as, Dickie or D.W. by my close friends at Koehler Kraft. Launched in Jacksonville in 1951, I was going to spend my days trawling shrimp like my older sisters. A visionary yachtswoman decided I should be an elegant motor yacht. My interior spaces we inspired by great sailing ships of the 19th century.
An Eldridge-McInnis design, I am a one-of-a-kind 63 ft yacht providing exquisite comfort and spaciousness. My three spacious and private staterooms, three heads, a full-size fridge, an outdoor lounge, and a sundeck provide unparalleled comfort away from land. My main saloon has been called the ‘greatest drinking room in the world’ and after an evening aboard enjoying her hospitality, you will agree.
My powerhouse is a D13000 Caterpillar 6-cylinder diesel engine and ___gallon tank that allows me a 3,000nm cursing range at a comfortable 7.5kts. More than enough to get you away from your cares at home.
In 2008 I was completely rebuilt from the hull down by the craftsmen at Koehler Kraft and from 2018-2020 my cabin structure, decks and bulwarks were rebuilt.
For eight years running, I have been named “People’s Choice” at the San Diego Wooden Boat Festival on Shelter Island.
